Rockland, ME—The Maine Lobster Boat Racing Association met here to discuss the upcoming racing season at the Maine Fishermen’s Forum. There were about fifty people at the meeting which lasted about 20 minutes. After announcing that there are no new rules or class changes, it was announced that the association is looking for a new manager.

The most deliberation was over the location of the MLBRA banquet. Last year’s banquet had just 15 in attendance. This year the banquet is expected to be held at Robinson’s Wharf restaurant in Southport, ME. Although there is no hotel at Robinson’s, arrangements will be made for those who decide to stay over, but may not want to drive, to be shuttled to a nearby hotel. The banquet date is to be announced. It is typically in mid October.

The published racing program is expected to be out in mid May.
