Lauren Crosby

Lobsterman’s daughter Lauren Crosby is a rising folkie bluesy singer/songwriter from Georgetown Island, Maine. Crosby grew up among fishing families listening to the salty language and the many unique Maine phrasings of fishermen and women. Her music is real, raw, and poetic. In a world where it seems every teenage girl is trying to become the next Taylor Swift or Adele, Lauren is a refreshing and unique breath of air. Crosby was the winner of a music contest sponsored by the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir. She plans on singing, writing, and traveling for the rest of her life. Her song “Sell It To The Sea” can be heard here.

Her self-titled album is available here.
