Boat House

Boathouse. Master boatbuilder and carpenter Kevin Sylvan of Cove’s End Woodworking of Gouldsboro, Maine surveys his work. Sylvan built the aft end of a wooden fishing boat on the wall of a new building in Prospect Harbor. Traditionally built using white cedar on white oak frames with bunged fastener holes and caulked seams, it is a boat, sort of. The deck of the boat will be a deck for the Salty Dog Gallery.
