Hamilton Marine Adds Commercial Fishing Warehouse at Portland

Hamilton Marine is calling it a “One stop ship shop that holds the key to the sea.” The warehouse at their Portland store is 90% commercial fishing gear. It’s a Home Depot type warehouse for fishing gear. The 6,000 square foot warehouse opened this March and is packed with exhaust hoses, hydraulic oils, zincs, tanks, buoy sticks, etc.

One goal is to allow fishermen to get things like multiple cases of buoys right off the shelf. Or mooring gear, including pre-cut lengths of chain in an easy in-easy out one stop.

Wayne Hamilton started the business 1977 at the Searsport location and today there are also stores in Rockland, SW Harbor and Jonesport.
